The procedure is a minimally invasive alternative for those seeking for a tighter skin around the eyes, cheeks, jowls and neck.

Threadlift uses special threads with tiny ‘teeth’ that are passed using needles through the layer of fat beneath the skin, which are then pulled to tighten the skin and the top of the thread stitched with a small suture. The body’s natural response will form tissue around the threads and hold them in place.

After the procedure you should be able to see a smoothing or lifting of the skin of the face. Since skin continues to age, the effects will normally last for about five years

The new X-LIFT

Other than this traditional thread lifting technique, Bioscor also provides X-Lift, which is a modified version invented by our very own surgeon Dr.Tony Prochazka.

At the heart of the X-LIFT is an ingenious new thread module called the X-VECTOR, that features wide-area tissue loading (to improve anchoring and eliminate skin pucker), and provides immensely flexible lifting vectors - so every lift can be tailored precisely to the patient's needs.

It utilises smaller incisions behind the hairline (for facial lift) and/or behind the earlobe (for neck lift), and unlike other anchored-thread solutions, leaves no "knots" under the skin. Despite this, the anchoring is very secure and thus a significant and very secure lift can be achieved with this new technique.

Each of these procedure takes approximately two hours to perform under twilight sedation with local anesthesia, after which patients are free to go home.

There would be mild swelling and a little bruising, but generally patients feel comfortable appearing in public after 3 days. However, exercise or other strenuous activities should be avoided for 2-3 weeks and then re-introduced gradually.

During your visit the doctor would discuss with you in detail both procedures, the cost, the risks, or other alternatives that would give you the best result.
